30 September 2010 in Miscellaneous, Sleeping Bags, Tents

Back for the second installment of our Wal-Mart experiment, this time getting into the nitty gritty and taking a look at the $19 tent, $10 sleeping bag, and some other stuff that is tent and sleeping bag related.  In addition to the tent and sleeping bag.  What kind of quality do you get when buying the cheapest camping gear on the planet?  Take a look and see.  What do you think?  Worthy?

Great stuff, guys ! Glad to see you”bear-ly” made it!! Personally, i think that if you stick with a trusted brand, like Coleman, you can't go wrong. Also love the fact that they carry Coghlans stuff is good too ! Thanks for your report !

Hey Matt. Yep, Coghlans makes a bunch of cool stuff.

  • WhoME?

We bought an ozark tent on clearance (6 person tent, chairs, cooler, bags, etc.) for $35. It was our first campout, and we didn’t know if we would like camping at all (first camping trip). It served its purpose, but the rainfly sucked. Our only complaint so far is that stupid rainfly.

Good to hear. We didn’t have a problem with the fly we used, but then again
I don’t think we had too much rain at all (if any). Thanks for the solid
    feedback.
