Indeed it is true, this is our 285th and final episode. It has been a crazy and wild 2.5 years of bringing the world the latest and greatest in the world of camping gear.

We can’t thank you enough for your support! Some of you have been around since the beginning, others maybe a little more recent. But to all of you, girls and boys, ladies and gentleman, it has been our pleasure.

We’ve been wanting to get our paws on the Eton Raptor for a LONG time. After picking one up last fall, it did not disapoint. This is one of those cool gadgets that does seemingly everything, and gives you a special feeling all over. This thing just does too much to list it all here. Keeping up with the wave of new solar camping and backpacking gear, Energizer has a number of new products that deliver strong performance at reasonable prices.  The Solar LED Spotlight is just $30, and offers a variety of great features. This is one piece of gear that has truly been in a mainstay in our gear collection for a long time. The Pelican VB3 2220 LED flashlight is a super lightweight, clip-on light that you’ll find yourself using all the time.  It’s very affordable, lasts pretty much forever, and will get you all excited down there. High Gear’s Smart Lite Lantern is a lightweight and durable lantern that operates via crank or usb. With no batteries, it really keeps down on the weight and still lasts 4 hours on high with a full charge. ShiningBeam.com is producing some of the most powerful flashlights on the market. We got our hands on the ITP A3 EOS Cree XP-G R5 LED Flashlight which has the ability to pump out nearly 200 lumens while weighing just 9 grams.  Ridiculous.  And what about the P-Rocket XM-L 850+ Lumens Compact LED Flashlight, which as the name suggests…can put out over 850 lumens, and weighs just 4.2 oz.  Yeah, ridiculous.  Check this one out for sure and stop by shiningbeam.com to pick up some for yourself.

Energizer has some super cool new products, including the Carabiner LED Light. This flashlight can be used for all sorts of stuff, from a light to a lantern.
